Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, 476 students and residents from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been safely evacuated from Jammu and Kashmir and other bordering states. This operation comes on the heels of a severe confrontation between the two nations following a deadly terrorist attack in April.

The Andhra Pradesh Bhavan has confirmed the arrival of 350 students in the national capital, including 100 who reached from Jammu and Kashmir last Sunday. The institution has established a 24/7 Control Room to assist people needing support while in border regions.

The Telangana government reported that 126 individuals have found refuge at the Telangana Bhavan, with 91 arriving since the previous night. Both state bhavans provide free food, shelter, medical aid, and transportation to the evacuees, ensuring their welfare until they can return to their hometowns.
