In a display of national pride, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu organized a Tiranga Yatra in Walong, Anjaw district, celebrating the recent success of Operation Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces. The yatra was attended by cabinet colleagues, local leaders, Army personnel, and enthusiastic citizens. Khandu commended the valor and dedication of the armed forces, emphasizing their critical role in protecting the nation's borders and sovereignty.
The event was part of an 11-day-long Tiranga Yatra initiated by the BJP across the country to reach out to people, highlighting the Modi government's leadership and the military's bravery. The march concluded at the Walong War Memorial, where tributes were offered to soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 India-China war.
Khandu's visit preceded the Cabinet Aapke Dwar program at Kibithoo, aimed at bringing government services directly to the people. This initiative focuses on localized governance, ensuring that key policy decisions and developmental actions cater to the needs of the remote Anjaw district.
