Delhi Constable Injured in Hit-and-Drag Incident on Dwarka Expressway

In a harrowing incident near Dwarka Expressway in southwest Delhi, Constable Karamvir suffered severe injuries after a speeding truck hit his motorcycle and dragged him for several meters. The accident, involving a truck driven by Vipin, occurred on June 13, according to police officials.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Amit Goel reported that the constable, who belongs to the 7th Battalion stationed in Malviya Nagar, was on his way to work when the mishap occurred at the Bijwasan underpass. The accident transpired as Vipin attempted to overtake Karamvir on the expressway.
Despite sustaining multiple injuries, Karamvir was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital, thanks to the prompt action of passersby who alerted the police. Authorities have since located the truck driver, and a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been filed based on Karamvir's complaint.
