PDP leader Waheed Para openly criticized the Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday, accusing it of mishandling the contentious reservation issue. He claimed this has left students disillusioned and trust in the system compromised.
According to Para, six months have passed since the J&K government vowed to resolve the reservation impasse through a subcommittee report. The deadline has elapsed, disheartening thousands of students whose prospects are now uncertain.
Para expressed concerns over the BJP-imposed policy, asserting that the incumbent National Conference government has the authority to revoke it but has failed to act. He warned that neglecting the merit of Kashmiri youth not only poses political issues but also national security threats.
