Sabalenka Sails to Berlin Quarters as Gauff Stumbles
Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the Berlin Open quarter-finals with a victory over Rebeka Masarova. Meanwhile, Coco Gauff exited after losing to Wang Xinyu. Sabalenka overcame a challenging match halted by weather, while Gauff was ousted due to unsteady gameplay on the grass courts.

Aryna Sabalenka secured her place in the Berlin Open quarter-finals with a 6-2 7-6(6) win against Switzerland's Rebeka Masarova. The match, previously suspended due to slippery conditions, resumed on Thursday with Sabalenka overcoming early struggles in the second set.
French Open champion Coco Gauff, however, faced an unexpected defeat, losing 6-3 6-3 to Chinese qualifier Wang Xinyu as she commenced her grass court season. Gauff, who was unsteady on the grass, dropped the match in straight sets.
In other matches, Czech Marketa Vondrousova defeated Russia's Diana Shnaider in a grueling three-set contest to advance. Vondrousova will next face Ons Jabeur, a two-time Wimbledon finalist, in the quarter-finals.
