Tragic Loss: Two Young Sisters Drown in Odisha Pond

In a heart-wrenching incident, two minor sisters drowned in a pond in Odisha's Bhadrak district on Thursday, authorities reported.

The tragic accident took place at Kishmat Krishnapur village, located close to Basudevpur. The victims, identified as six-year-old Chandini Mandal and her five-year-old sister Nandini Mandal, hailed from Karanpalli village.

The sisters reportedly slipped into the water while playing. They were rushed to the Basudevpur Community Health Centre, where medical professionals pronounced them dead on arrival. The bodies were subsequently sent for post-mortem examination, according to police officials.
