The Himachal Pradesh Police have initiated a probe into a menacing online warning aimed at Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Congress MLA Rakesh Kalia. Police officials disclosed this development on Friday.
The investigation was triggered after a social media user posted on Facebook regarding the arrest of notorious gangster Amrish Rana, leading to comments that hinted at violent intentions towards the politicians. The conversation raised alarms for its threatening tone.
Arun Kumar, a concerned individual, promptly reported the matter to authorities, resulting in a case being filed at the Haroli Police Station. Police are actively investigating any possible links between the suspects and the gangster, including tracing IP addresses.
