Bribery Scandal in Karnataka Housing Allotments Unveiled

A leaked phone conversation purportedly involving Congress MLA B R Patil has stirred controversy, exposing alleged bribery in housing allotments under the Karnataka government's purview. The conversation, which was aired by local media, highlights Patil's dissatisfaction with the alleged irregular practices in the allotment of houses through the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Limited. The MLA pointed fingers at Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan's personal secretary, alleging that houses were allocated in exchange for bribes.

The opposition has called for stringent measures, with BJP and JD(S) leaders urging a judicial inquiry. State BJP President B Y Vijayendra accused the Congress government of systemic corruption, asking for Housing Minister Khan's resignation.
