Doctor's Ordeal: Unveiling a Case of Betrayal and Exploitation

A Mumbai man has been accused of sexually exploiting a doctor he met on a dating app, coercing her into abortion and threatening to distribute her private photographs online, a city police official revealed on Friday.

The 28-year-old victim, employed at a hospital in Andheri, reported the accused, a 27-year-old from Dongri, south Mumbai. Their encounter on the dating app led to consensual relations, during which he captured her intimate photographs.

In February, the accused allegedly forced her to undergo an abortion. Upon discovering his engagement to another woman, the victim filed a complaint. Though no arrests have been made, police continue to investigate. He faces charges under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for abortion without consent and criminal intimidation.
