Call for Restraint: UK's Plea Amid Israel-Iran Tensions

Britain's ambassador to the United Nations, Barbara Woodword, on Friday made a fervent appeal for all parties involved in the Israel-Iran conflict to prioritize the safety of civilians and exercise restraint to prevent further escalation.

Addressing the UN Security Council, Woodword emphasized the precariousness of the current situation, declaring it a "dangerous moment" for the entire region. She stressed that targeting civilians is unacceptable and condemned the loss of innocent lives.

Woodword further asserted that military actions are not a viable solution for addressing Iran's nuclear capabilities, advocating for diplomatic measures to resolve the conflict.
