Noa Joshua Ameson, 38, was vacationing in the typically serene town of Manati, west of San Juan, when the fatal encounter occurred. According to local authorities, armed and masked assailants confronted Ameson and his family as they returned to their rental home. Ameson was shot during the altercation, later succumbing to his injuries in a hospital.
In response to this rare violent outbreak, police are actively seeking evidence, including security footage and vehicle identification, to apprehend those responsible, noted Axel Valencia, police spokesperson. Ameson's untimely death has left the community on edge amidst ongoing investigations.
