Israeli Strike Eliminates Key Iranian Revolutionary Guards Commander
Israel's military killed Saeed Izadi, a commander in Iran's Quds Force, in a strike in Qom. Izadi, involved with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, was sanctioned by the U.S. and Britain. His death marks a significant blow to Iran's 'Axis of Resistance' network amid rising tensions post-October 7, 2023.

In a strategic military maneuver, Israel has reportedly neutralized Saeed Izadi, a prominent figure within the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force. The operation took place in an apartment in Iran's Qom, according to Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz.
Izadi, known for leading the Palestine Corps of the Quds Force, played a critical role in strengthening Iran's network of alliances in the Arab world, particularly with groups like Hezbollah and Hamas. This network has, however, faced substantial challenges recently due to intensified Israeli offensives.
The removal of Izadi, who was sanctioned by America and Britain for his financial and military support to Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, is hailed by Katz as a 'major achievement for Israeli intelligence and the Air Force.' The strike is part of a broader effort to debilitate Iranian influence in the region post the October 7 attacks on Israel.
