In a troubling repeat of past behavior, Savad, a 29-year-old from Vadakara, has been apprehended for misbehaving with a woman on a state-run bus in Kerala. The arrest comes after the woman reported the incident, which occurred on a Malappuram-bound bus on June 14.
According to police reports, Savad allegedly touched the woman inappropriately, prompting her to protest before he exited the bus midway to escape. This arrest renews attention on Savad, who two years ago faced similar charges of flashing and harassment during a bus journey in Ernakulam district.
After his previous arrest, Savad received controversial support from the All Kerala Men's Association, drawing widespread criticism. The police have charged him under various sections of the BNS, including Section 75 for sexual harassment.
