In the heart of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, a transformative initiative known as the 'Toilet Clinic' is redefining community health and dignity. Led by Babita Kumari, this clinic is run by local women trained as masons and sanitation workers, who offer repair services for faulty toilets, marking a revolutionary step in community sanitation.

Established in early 2024, the clinic addresses the pressing issue of disused toilets, primarily built under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen. The program has helped restore over 15 toilets, empowering local women through affordable repair services supported by the Jeevika Livelihoods Mission.

Beyond sanitation, Babita has made substantial strides in water conservation, increasing tap water coverage dramatically. Her leadership has promoted women's active participation in governance, transforming Bishanpur Baghnagari into Muzaffarpur's first model panchayat. Under her guidance, sanitation and social change coexist, exemplifying the power of inclusive leadership.
