A 42-year-old man named Anuj Kumar from Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, has been detained by authorities for allegedly posting offensive content about Prophet Mohammed online.
The incident, which involved Kumar's controversial WhatsApp status, triggered protests by the Muslim community in Jhinjhana town on Saturday.
According to Jhinjhana Station House Officer Jitendra Sharma, a case was lodged under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, leading to Kumar's arrest.
