A shocking incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district on Sunday evening, as a sudden lightning strike claimed the lives of a woman and a bull tied to a bullock cart. The ill-fated event occurred in Manpur Muzaffarpur village when a family was en route back from the fields.

According to official reports, the lightning struck as rain began to pour, immediately killing Salma, aged 45, and the bull on the spot. Two other individuals, Safiri, 40, and Arif, 24, suffered severe burn injuries and were promptly rushed to Cosmos Hospital for medical attention.

Local police quickly arrived on the scene and recommended a post-mortem examination to facilitate claims for government disaster relief. However, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kanth Sant Pawar noted that the grieving family declined the procedure.
