Tragic Love: Young Man Commits Murder-Suicide in Saurikh

In a tragic turn of events, a 22-year-old man from Saurikh allegedly killed his partner before committing suicide. The harrowing incident unfolded early Monday morning, leaving the local community in shock.

Devanshu, from Kuthla village, reportedly used his father's licensed firearm to shoot Deepti, who resided in nearby Sultanpur. The motive is believed to be linked to Deepti's recent engagement, arranged by her family, which had strained their relationship.

The gunshots rang out in the village around 3 a.m., causing panic among residents. Authorities swiftly responded after locals discovered the tragic scene. Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway, with both bodies sent for post-mortem examination.
