Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik has praised the Indian Army for its unwavering dedication to border security and peacekeeping. He expressed his confidence in the Army's preparedness along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) while praising its essential role in upholding the state's territorial integrity.
In a meeting with Major General Vivek Bakshi, the General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division, discussions focused on key issues such as the security situation along the LAC, civil-military cooperation, and welfare initiatives for ex-servicemen. Community outreach and joint initiatives, including road construction and disaster response, were also highlighted.
Governor Parnaik urged increased Army involvement in job fairs, medical camps, and educational outreach to inspire youth in remote areas. Major General Bakshi reaffirmed the Army's commitment to collaboration, aiming to achieve shared goals in security, development, and public welfare.
