Drones Ignite Tensions: Ukrainian Strike Hits Moscow Region
A Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire in a multi-storey building near Moscow, injuring two. Local authorities claimed Russian defenses intercepted several drones targeting the city. This incident forms part of escalating drone warfare between Russia and Ukraine, with both countries engaging in increased drone strikes.

A Ukrainian drone struck an apartment building near Moscow on Tuesday, causing a fire and injuring two people, according to TASS news agency. Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, reported the incident in the town of Krasnogorsk.
The drone ignited a blaze on the building's 17th floor. According to Vorobyov, the injured were hospitalized, and two other drones were downed west of Moscow. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that Russian air defenses had intercepted two additional Ukrainian drones overnight.
In a separate statement, Russia's defense ministry announced the destruction of nine drones near the Kursk and Bryansk regions. This latest attack is part of a series of cross-border drone strikes between Ukraine and Russia escalating in recent months.
