Disputed Damage: U.S. Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Facilities

The United States and Iran are at odds over the level of damage inflicted by recent U.S. air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, according to Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov on Wednesday. Ushakov conveyed Moscow's approval of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, while highlighting the divergent views regarding the strike's impact.

"The party executing the strikes claims substantial damage was done, yet the recipient asserts that, being forewarned, the damage was minimal and insignificant," Ushakov said, addressing the media. An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman contended earlier that day that the U.S. assault had indeed severely affected Tehran's nuclear sites.

Despite ongoing reports, the Kremlin maintained that it was premature to definitively assess the full extent of the damage resulting from the strikes.
