Chhattisgarh Police Nab Four Notorious Naxalites in Bijapur
Four Naxalites, carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 each, were arrested in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Among them, Mando Kursam was allegedly involved in an IED blast targeting police last year. The others were linked to arson involving machinery. They functioned as lower-rung Maoist propaganda members.

In a significant operation, four Naxalites were apprehended by the police in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, officials announced on Wednesday. These individuals, each with a Rs 10,000 bounty, were captured from their village Kopanjharri under Farsegarh police jurisdiction.
The apprehended group included Mando Kursam, who police allege was responsible for last year's IED blast targeting a police car. Fortunately, the officers inside, including Station House Officer Akash Masih, were unharmed despite damage to the vehicle.
The other members—Mando Kursam, Kailash Kursam, Pandu Kursam, and Chhote Kursam—were implicated in setting fire to construction equipment in 2020. As part of the jan militia, they served in spreading Maoist ideology and logistics support.
