Highway Horror: Robbery and Assault in Pune

In a shocking incident on a highway in Pune district, Maharashtra, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and three women were robbed of gold ornaments by two unidentified men. The incident unfolded around 4:15 am near Bhigwan, leaving the victims traumatized.

According to police officials, the crime occurred when the victims' car stopped as the driver needed a break. Seizing the opportunity, two men armed with sharp weapons threatened the occupants, stealing their valuables and committing the heinous act against the young girl.

Authorities have intensified efforts to track down the culprits, with Thane (Rural) Superintendent of Police Sandip Singh Gill confirming the formation of multiple teams to catch the accused. The process of registering a formal case is currently underway.
