Rajasthan Government Forms Cabinet Committee to Address Gurjar Demands

The Rajasthan government has taken a significant step by forming a three-member cabinet committee to address the demands of the Most Backward Classes (MBC), including the Gurjar community. This move aims to propose viable solutions and fulfill the agreed-upon conditions.

The committee features prominent members like State Law Minister Jogaram Patel, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot, and Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham, who himself hails from the Gurjar community. Previously, Bedham was an active participant in Gurjar movements under the leadership of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla.

The formation of this committee comes post an agreement between the Gurjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti and the Rajasthan government, with hopes to include the MBC reservation in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution. Community leader Vijay Bainsla has expressed faith in the government's commitment to addressing their demands positively.
