The mysterious murder of Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya has taken a dramatic turn as Vipin Raghuvanshi, his brother, revealed that the family had gifted jewelry worth Rs 16 lakh to Sonam, Raja's wife and the primary suspect in the case.
The arrest of Sonam, along with her alleged accomplices, has come after Meghalaya Police recovered crucial evidence from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. Items recovered include jewelry, a laptop, and other materials from the home of a real estate businessman, pointing towards a deeper conspiracy.
A Special Investigation Team is probing the murder, which took place on May 23. Raja's mutilated body was found on June 2 near a waterfall in Sohra, Cherrapunji. The case has highlighted a complex web of deceit involving multiple arrests over evidence destruction and murder conspiracy.
