Controversy Surrounds AAP's Land Pooling Policy: Punjab BJP Chief Criticizes

The Punjab BJP chief, Sunil Jakhar, has vehemently criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's land pooling policy, describing it as a 'Ponzi scheme'. He claims that the policy is designed to exploit farmers, enticing them with promises of profits four times their current value, only to seize their land.

Jakhar accuses the land pooling policy of being purposefully crafted to facilitate corruption within Punjab. He argues that government officials mislead farmers by falsely assuring them that they won't lose their land, but once a notification is issued, farmers are restricted from selling it, violating their rights.

The BJP leader also warns Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema of being held accountable for the exploitation, implying that the scheme's orchestrators will flee when the government changes. Jakhar has urged the government to refrain from selective action in legal cases, highlighting issues of corruption and accountability.
