Online Trading Scandal: Andhra Man Arrested in Kottayam Money Fraud
A 33-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh, Ramesh Vellamkula, was arrested for allegedly defrauding a Kottayam resident of Rs 1.64 crore through online trading. The crime occurred between April 28 and May 20. Vellamkula promised large profits which led to the victim's loss when attempting withdrawal.

An Andhra Pradesh man has been apprehended for allegedly orchestrating a significant online trading scam that cost a Kottayam resident Rs 1.64 crore, police reported on Monday.
Identified as Ramesh Vellamkula of Visakhapatnam's Gandhi Nagar, the suspect was accused of enticing the victim with grand promises of substantial profits through share trading.
The fraudulent activities were said to have occurred between April 28 and May 20 this year. Following thorough investigations, police arrested Vellamkula in Visakhapatnam and brought him before a local court.
