In a disturbing sequence of events, two men were brutally killed in Odisha's Ganjam district over the span of two days, according to local law enforcement on Monday.

In the first incident, police have apprehended K Santosh Patra, accused of killing his relative Tulu Patra in Bhismagiri. The attack reportedly stemmed from a longstanding family dispute, investigators disclosed. The victim's body was discovered at his residence and has since been sent for a post-mortem examination.

Concurrently, authorities are pursuing leads in a separate case involving the fatal assault of 32-year-old A Lachheyya by unidentified attackers in Brahmanapalli. An official investigation is underway to bring the perpetrators to justice, said Debasish Mohanty, the inspector in charge at Chhatrapur police station.
