An elderly Colorado woman, Karen Diamond, passed away due to injuries sustained in a Molotov cocktail attack targeting demonstrators in support of Israeli hostages in Gaza, prosecutors announced.
The attack occurred on June 1 in downtown Boulder, resulting in 29 victims, 13 of whom were physically harmed. 29-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman faces numerous charges including attempted first-degree murder and now first-degree murder following Diamond's death.
Soliman, who posed as a gardener during the attack, has also been indicted on 12 federal hate crime counts, contributing to the complexity of the case. The Boulder Jewish Community mourns Diamond's death, highlighting her community impact.
