Cyber Drama: The Great U.S.-Iran Email Leak
Iran-linked hackers known as Robert have threatened to release more emails stolen from Donald Trump's inner circle. The breach included emails from significant figures associated with Trump, prompting threats of full investigation from U.S. authorities. Despite tensions, Iran's cyber activities have remained relatively muted.

Iran-linked hackers, under the pseudonym Robert, are back in the spotlight as they threaten to release more emails pilfered from Donald Trump's circle. Prior leaks, affecting significant Trump associates, stirred controversy ahead of the 2024 U.S. election, escalating tensions in a politically charged climate.
The hackers claim possession of around 100 gigabytes of sensitive emails from individuals close to Trump, including his chief of staff Susie Wiles and lawyer Lindsey Halligan. With talk of possibly selling the material, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the act as a severe breach of cyber security.
The U.S. authorities, including the FBI and the White House, vowed stringent legal action against those involved in national security breaches, as investigations continue. Despite previous claims of retirement, the resurgence of Robert comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions, evidencing a tactical cyber move amid the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.
