Myanmar National Nabbed with Rs 6.67 Crore Worth of Meth in Mizoram
A Myanmar national has been apprehended in Mizoram's Champhai district after being found in possession of Methamphetamine tablets valued at over Rs 6.67 crore. Assam Rifles, in coordination with Mizoram Police, seized 20,200 tablets during a search at Zokhawthar village. The tablets were handed over for further legal action.

A Myanmar national has been arrested following the discovery of Methamphetamine tablets valued at more than Rs 6.67 crore in east Mizoram's Champhai district, as confirmed by Assam Rifles on Tuesday.
The operation, based on a tip-off, saw the paramilitary force collaborating with Mizoram Police to establish a checkpoint at Zokhawthar village on June 29. During a meticulous search of a suspect, authorities recovered 20,200 Methamphetamine tablets, weighing 2.22 kg.
The highly addictive, central nervous system-affecting stimulant is banned in India. The accused, a Myanmar national, had the prohibited Meth tablets confiscated and subsequently transferred to Mizoram Police at Zokhawthar for further investigation and legal processes.
