Ravada A Chandrasekhar assumed the role of Kerala state police chief on Tuesday, following his appointment by the Left government. Taking over from Shaik Darvesh Saheb, who retired this week, Chandrasekhar promises enhanced focus on anti-drug campaigns and addressing crimes against women.
Chandrasekhar, a 1991 batch IPS officer from the Kerala cadre, previously served in the Central Intelligence Bureau. As he steps into the new role, he acknowledges the challenges ahead, emphasizing the need for dynamic policing and teamwork among his colleagues.
While addressing the media, he reiterated his commitment to strong action against drug-related offenses and assured swift responses to crimes against women.
