On Tuesday, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir apprehended a man for allegedly using a fake identity card to gain entry into the Amarnath yatra in the Ganderbal district. The accused has been identified as Shivam Mittal, hailing from Dwarka Puri, Haryana.

The police spokesperson stated that Mittal attempted to deceive the security personnel by using a forged yatra registration card, circumventing the necessary security verification process. This fraudulent activity occurred at the Baltal security checkpoint.

In light of these events, local law enforcement has registered an FIR and launched a detailed investigation to uncover the extent of the forgery and potential security lapses.
