Court Extends Custody of Alleged Kolkata Law College Assailants

A Kolkata court has lengthened the custody of three individuals accused of gang rape at a law college, extending their detention by eight more days.

Monojit Mishra, a former student, and current students Zaib Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee face prolonged questioning, as do security guard Pinaki Banerjee, whose bail request was denied.

The defense cautioned against media meddling, insisting on fairness before legal verdicts. Investigators argue more time is needed for questioning, as the accused cooperate with ongoing inquiries.
