India has voiced significant alarm over the abduction of three Indian nationals in Mali, amid a growing wave of terrorist attacks throughout the West African nation.
Following the abductions, New Delhi promptly called on the Mali government to take decisive action to secure the safe and swift release of the hostages.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs reported that the incident, involving an attack at the Diamond Cement Factory in Kayes, has not been claimed by any group, although an Al-Qaeda affiliate is linked to recent Mali attacks.
