A pregnant woman faced alleged physical assault and coercion after her husband, Shivam Sharma, resigned from his job at a local spice shop in Gola, police reported on Monday.
Sharma, living in Kauvadil village, had been earning a monthly salary of Rs 7,000 at Ratan Bhardwaj's shop. Due to financial struggles, he left the position about ten days earlier. Around 7 pm on July 18, Bhardwaj, along with an associate Kush Sharma, reportedly entered Shivam's home, attacking him with various weapons, according to police records.
During the assault, Shivam's pregnant wife, Khushboo, was allegedly knocked down while intervening, suffering injuries. She was forced to perform squats, leading to a health deterioration, as stated by her family. Despite pleas from Shivam's father, the attackers were undeterred. An FIR was lodged against Bhardwaj and Kush Sharma; however, both remain elusive as police continue their search.
