The Municipal Corporation of Delhi announced an ambitious effort to increase property tax compliance through 2,333 camps organized across 12 zones, said Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh on Monday.

The initiative has already attracted over 59,411 taxpayers, facilitating a collection of Rs 145.19 crore, according to Singh.

As part of the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26, known as Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (SUNIYO), eligible taxpayers can obtain a full waiver on arrears for periods before the financial year 2020-21 by paying the principal amount for the current and previous five fiscal years.
