Massive Recall of Aboveground Pools Amid Drowning Incidents

In a major safety alert, over 5.2 million aboveground swimming pools across the US and Canada are being recalled due to drowning hazards.

The recall, affecting pools sold by Bestway, Intex Recreation, and Polygroup since 2002, follows reports of nine child drowning incidents in the US.

Consumers are advised to contact the manufacturers for a free repair kit and ensure child safety around these pools, which feature a hazardous compression strap foothold.
