Fernando Ramirez, a 29-year-old resident of San Clemente, faces serious legal repercussions after allegedly driving into a crowd of pedestrians outside a Los Angeles nightclub over the weekend. Prosecutors have charged him with 37 counts of attempted murder and 37 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, placing him at risk of multiple life sentences.

The violent incident left a total of 37 people injured, with injuries ranging from minor abrasions to significant fractures and lacerations. Particularly, eight victims reportedly suffered great bodily harm. Despite the gravity of the act, authorities have yet to uncover any motive, as investigations continue without a clear conclusion.

At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, the suspect, Ramirez, allegedly used his vehicle to deliberately drive onto the sidewalk outside Vermont Hollywood, a popular entertainment venue. Police reported that Ramirez was later found shot, a victim of an assault by bystanders. The alleged shooter remains at large, having fled the chaotic scene on foot.
