Authorities in Agra and Meerut intensified security measures at private schools after they received bomb threats through email. The bomb disposal and dog squads conducted exhaustive searches, ultimately finding no evidence of explosives.
Agra's Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vinayak Bhosale, confirmed that the threatening emails were sent to Shri Ram School and Global School. He added that the cyber cell is actively investigating the source, which preliminary findings trace back to Kolkata.
In Meerut, the threat targeted Diwan Public School, but schools were already closed due to the Kanwar Yatra, minimizing panic. Investigations continue as teams work to uncover the identities behind the threats.
