Border Security Force (BSF) personnel made a significant breakthrough by confiscating 89.4 kg of ganja intended for smuggling across the Bangladesh border in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas and Nadia districts.

On Tuesday, acting swiftly on a tip-off, Indian border guards attempted to intercept four to five suspicious individuals near the international boundary. A warning shot from a non-lethal pump action gun prompted the suspects to flee, abandoning their contraband.

The vigilant efforts of the BSF's 143, 11th, and 32nd battalions resulted in successful seizures at various border outposts, ensuring the contraband was handed over to relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
