A 30-year-old man was tragically found hanging outside a window at his lover's residence in Jharkhand's Giridih district, police reported on Wednesday.
The local police have formed a special investigation team (SIT) to delve into the circumstances surrounding the incident, which took place in Turi Tola within the Devri police limits. While official reports identified the deceased as Sohel Ansari alias Sahil, a resident of Manakdiha village, preliminary findings hint at complexities beyond suicide.
Rajendra Prasad, the Khorimahua sub-divisional police officer, expressed skepticism about the suicide angle, emphasizing the use of technical resources to meticulously investigate the incident. The case is being scrutinized as one involving an alleged love affair. The girl's interrogation revealed frequent conversations with the deceased, extending late into the previous night. The father of the deceased, Maqbool Ansari, confirmed his son's involvement with the girl, which had also attracted attention at several panchayat meetings.
