The Madhya Pradesh Police has introduced Ramcharitmanas recital sessions as part of training for new recruits. These sessions aim to instill discipline by drawing lessons from the life of Lord Ram, as narrated in the epic poem Ramcharitmanas.
This decision comes after recruits requested postings closer to home, prompting ADG (Training) Raja Babu Singh to emphasize the importance of maintaining the state-level profile of the police and embedding the virtues of Lord Ram in the trainees.
The nine-month training program for 4,000 recruits allows for voluntary participation in readings from Ramcharitmanas. The efforts are aimed at fostering a disciplined and value-based work ethic among the future police officers of Madhya Pradesh.
