In a significant move, police in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district have attached a residential property under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), confirmed officials on Thursday.
The Sopore-based property, belonging to Javaid Ahmad Dar, was allegedly used for providing shelter and logistical support to terrorists. This residential property, consisting of a single-storey house and land, was linked to anti-national activities, according to a police spokesman.
The attachment follows an FIR registered under various sections of the UAPA and the Arms Act. Investigations revealed the property was utilized to aid terrorists in executing activities in the Sopore area, leading to the property's seizure after obtaining necessary approvals.
