Bribery Sting: Woman Constable Caught Red-Handed

A woman head constable stationed at the Women Police Station in Manesar was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on allegations of accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000, according to officials.

The accused, identified as Parmila, had initially demanded Rs 10,000 from the complainant. The demand was made for furnishing a copy of a settlement agreement related to a dispute.

The ACB was notified after the demand, leading to a sting in which Parmila was caught accepting the bribe in her vehicle on police station premises.
