Historic Induction: Five New Judges Join Allahabad High Court
The Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, Justice Arun Bhansali, swore in five new judges. This ceremony increased the number of serving judges to 84. The appointments were confirmed by the Central government earlier this month, as notified on August 4.

On Thursday, five new judges were sworn in by Chief Justice Arun Bhansali at the Allahabad High Court.
The appointees—Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava-II, Justice Abdul Shahid, Justice Santosh Rai, Justice Tej Pratap Tiwari, and Justice Zafeer Ahmad—are all from the Higher Judicial Services.
The appointments were part of a recent notification by the Central government, dated August 4. Including the chief justice, 84 judges now actively serve in the Allahabad and its Lucknow bench, still below the sanctioned strength of 160.
