Odisha Government's Bureaucratic Shuffle: New Appointments and Transfers Announced
The Odisha government has reshuffled its bureaucracy by transferring several IAS and forest officers. Key appointments include Rajesh Prabhakar Patil as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Cooperation Department and Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya as Secretary of Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department. This reshuffle follows another, which involved 49 transfers.

The Odisha government has initiated another reshuffle in its bureaucratic structure with the transfer of various IAS officers and the appointment of those returning from training, based on official notifications.
Notably, 34 deputy conservator-rank forest officers were also relocated. Key appointments include Rajesh Prabhakar Patil from the 2005 batch, who has been named Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Cooperation Department, continuing his additional roles in Housing & Urban Development and as Chairman of the Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.
The reshuffle also witnessed Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya of the 2009 batch taking charge as Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department, and Samarth Verma appointed as Director of Minor Minerals from the 2011 batch. This extensive reshuffle follows an earlier one involving 49 transfers.
