A private school on the outskirts of Dharamshala became the center of chaos on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat via email, marking a pattern with similar threats received by schools in Shimla a day earlier. The email led to immediate panic among students and staff.

Between 9 and 10 am, school officials discovered the threatening email, prompting a swift response from local police, who arrived equipped with bomb disposal and dog squads. After executing thorough search operations for nearly six hours, authorities found no signs of actual danger, according to Kangra Additional Superintendent of Police, Aditi Singh.

Although similar emails sent to multiple schools in Shimla proved baseless, the Director General of Police, Ashok Tewari, reassured the public of the state's preparedness to respond to these threats. He called for calm and cautioned against spreading panic or rumors. This incident follows a series of bomb threats that hit the Himachal Pradesh High Court and other governmental offices recently, all of which were confirmed to be hoaxes.
