Delhi Police have launched an investigation against a Bihar couple for reportedly deceiving a Maharashtra government official and his wife of more than Rs 70 lakh. The complaint was made by the official's personal assistant, stating that the couple lured the wife into investing by promising high returns.

The accused maintained contact with the victims to gain trust and secure investments, ultimately taking over Rs 70 lakh through digital transfers. Initially, they made some repayments, but later, they defaulted and dodged repayment.

After a preliminary inquiry, police found evidence of fraudulent activities and registered an FIR at the Tilak Marg police station. Investigative teams have been set up to probe the matter further.
