In a significant breakthrough, the Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended a key member of an inter-state arms smuggling operation amid the ongoing panchayat elections in the state.

Khajan Singh, a 24-year-old, was arrested late Wednesday night in Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar district, with eight illegal automatic pistols and associated magazines.

This detainment unveiled the gang's extensive network, stretching from Madhya Pradesh to Uttarakhand, further bolstering STF's campaign against illegal arms in the region.
