The Ministry of Women and Child Development has unveiled a revamped Mission Vatsalya portal, designed to bolster child protection services throughout India. The announcement was made by Minister of State Savitri Thakur during the Lok Sabha session, amidst questions about the initiative's implications.
The portal offers an integrated digital interface, merging functionalities of existing Khoya-Paya and TrackChild portals. This unified approach allows seamless coordination among various stakeholders, including state child protection societies and child care institutions. The Khoya-Paya portal aids in reporting missing children, while TrackChild serves as a comprehensive database to track found cases.
Enhancements include improved monitoring capabilities and integration with national helplines like 1098 and other emergency response systems. In collaboration with the Savitribai Phule National Institute, the ministry is rolling out training for master trainers in every state to ensure effective utilization of the portal's services.
